Ways to Work With Us at The Nouveau Romantics

Introduction: You’ve Got a Big Vision.

Here’s How We Bring It to Life.

Every unforgettable wedding starts with an idea—a feeling, a vision, an image you can’t get out of your head. What most couples don’t realize is that there are many ways to work with us here at The Nouveau Romantics.

Some of our clients hire us as their Denver wedding planner for a single-day venue celebration. Others bring us in as a destination wedding planner to orchestrate multi-day experiences across the country or abroad. Still others simply want an expert at the very beginning—to clarify budgets, timelines, and priorities before diving into details.

We’re not “checklist planners.” We’re creative directors, strategists, and guides—balancing architecture and artistry with logistics and legacy. We don’t just plan weddings. We create once-in-a-lifetime experiences that feel like they couldn’t belong to anyone but you.

This page is designed for transparency: here’s how we work, what our services include, and what you can expect when you partner with us.

Our Core Services

1. Full-Service Planning & Design

From site walk-throughs to the final send-off, we design, plan, and produce every detail of your celebration. That means everything from scouting venues, curating the vendor team, building budgets, managing contracts, and shaping the guest experience down to the smallest detail.

Best for: Multi-day celebrations, destination or private-estate weddings, complex builds.
Fees: Start at $15,000 for Denver-based venue weddings. For multi-day, private property, tented, or destination events, fees start at $20,000–$25,000+ (or 15–20% of overall budget, whichever is greater).

This is where we thrive: building from scratch on private ranches, family estates, or international destinations where infrastructure doesn’t exist until we design it. We’ve coordinated 550 staff across multiple sites, built catering kitchens in fields, and designed guest flows that felt effortless. Guests never saw the complexity—only the beauty, ease, and sense of welcome.

“Liz’s energy made planning so exciting for us and calmed all of our anxieties—we trusted her completely.” – Callee + Jeff

2. Event Design + Creative Direction

You’ve got logistics covered—we shape the guest experience. With design and creative direction, we focus on how your celebration looks, feels, and flows. That means color palettes, floral direction, floorplans, lighting, furniture rentals, paper goods, and day-of styling.

Best for: Couples with an in-house coordinator, venue planner, or separate planning team who want cohesive creative leadership.
Fees: Flat-fee or custom pricing based on scope.

For example, you might have a hotel wedding with solid logistics in place, but nothing tying it together visually. That’s where we come in—translating your taste and priorities into a seamless design world. We collaborate with your planning team to ensure every detail feels like part of a cohesive whole.

“Liz has the best eye, the best energy, and her taste level, vendor suggestions, and general aesthetic are flawless.” – Robyn + Travis

3. Wedding Strategy & Consulting

Think of this as your pre-construction architect. Before anyone breaks ground, we help you translate your vision into a clear, strategic roadmap. It’s the foundation: budgets, timelines, vendor recommendations, and design direction that sets everything else in motion.

Best for: Couples in the early stages, those planning abroad, or anyone needing clarity on wedding planner cost and realistic expectations.
Fees: Hourly or package-based.

This often looks like a series of strategy sessions. Imagine a couple dreaming of an Amalfi Coast wedding but unsure of what’s logistically possible. Or someone considering three different Denver venues, not knowing how costs shift. In a few weeks, we deliver a framework that saves months of stress—and often tens of thousands of dollars in missteps.

“I was worried my vision wouldn’t come through—but Liz translated it better than I could have imagined.” – Stephanie + Mike

Alternate Entry Points

Not every couple needs full-service planning from the start. Some of our most successful partnerships have begun in smaller, more flexible formats:

  • Partial Planning / Final Stretch: You’ve built the foundation—we step in three months out to steer it home.
  • Venue Curation + Strategy: We help you find the right canvas for your vision.
  • Design Only with Implementation Support: Your planner manages logistics, we lead the creative vision.
  • Custom A La Carte Projects: From nonprofit galas to milestone celebrations, we adapt our process for your unique project.

Why Our Fees Are What They Are

Our fees reflect the time, energy, and expertise it takes to deliver a one-of-a-kind celebration at the highest level.

We work on a percentage model as it scales fairly with the complexity of your vision:

  • Denver venue-based, single-day weddings: typically 15% of your total wedding budget, with planning fees beginning around $15,000.
  • Multi-day, multi-event, destination, or private-property weddings: typically 20% of your total budget, with planning fees beginning around $20,000–$25,000+.

Over the years, we’ve seen clear patterns:

  • Denver weddings tend to begin around $1,000 per guest. That number can go up depending on venue, design choices, or infrastructure needs—but it’s a healthy starting point.
  • Destination or private-property weddings often range $2,000–$4,000+ per guest, especially for multi-day celebrations or higher cost locations.

Here’s what that really means: I don’t give you the bare-bones budget that leaves no room to breathe, and I don’t inflate every line item to the highest tier. Think of it like architecture: we don’t design with the cheapest building that won’t stand well over time, and we don’t over-engineer every detail without reason. We create a structure that is sound, flexible, and designed to hold beauty, strength, and longevity.

At the end of the day, what matters most is finding the planning company and budget range that feels right for you. Some couples prioritize scale, others prioritize design or intimacy, and the couples who choose us are the ones who want a partner who listens deeply, translates their story into an experience, and executes at the highest standard.

And here’s the quiet strength of our work: our weddings often look far more elevated than the dollars suggest. Other planners have assumed our clients’ budgets were double what they actually were—because thoughtful design multiplies value in ways raw spending never can.

“We were shocked at how much Liz elevated the experience—guests are still talking about it years later.” Samantha + Erick

Wildcard Vendors (and Where We Draw the Line)

Not every vendor plays the same role. Some categories—transportation, tent companies, power, and sound—are non-negotiable in their need to perform well. These are the backbone of a wedding, and if they fall short, the entire experience unravels. This is not where you cut corners, and this is not where you “try something new.” Clean, reliable buses. Tents that withstand weather, look beautiful doing it, and teams who know how to pivot when needed. Professional-grade sound and power that doesn’t hiccup halfway through speeches. With these vendors, you truly get what you pay for.

But then there are what I call the wildcards. These might be new photographers or videographers with incredible vision but less wedding experience, or a restaurant that wants to step into full-scale catering. I’m not stuck in a static “approved vendor list.” I love discovering fresh talent, and I’ll absolutely fold in one or two (max three) wildcards if they bring something meaningful to your celebration.

The difference? I’ll never fill an entire roster with unknowns. A great team has to be a balance: proven professionals I know can perform at the highest level, plus a few fresh voices that bring personality and originality. That’s how you get both stability and surprise.

Here’s the other truth: I plan for things to go wrong. Always. That means I architect the timeline and the systems so that if a wildcard stumbles—or a seasoned vendor hits an unexpected snag—we have the bumper lanes already in place to course-correct. The result? You never feel the chaos. What you and your guests experience is seamless execution and a high-caliber event, even if I’m behind the scenes problem-solving in real time.

For the right clients, this level of discernment and discipline is exactly what they want: a partner who has their back, who’s willing to innovate, but never at the expense of excellence. For others, who simply want to check the boxes, we may not be the right fit.

As one client reflected: “I was surprised by how much happened behind the scenes. We trusted Liz to bring our vision to life, and she overdelivered.” – Callee + Jeff

Closing: This Isn’t Just Planning—It’s Partnership

If you’re looking for someone to manage checklists, that’s not us. But if you want a creative partner who listens deeply, translates feelings into form, and orchestrates invisible complexity with precision—that’s what we do best.

Your wedding isn’t just a party. It’s a legacy moment. And it deserves to be built with both vision and integrity.
