The Wedding of the Ages at the Bride's Family Ranch in South Texas

Set on the bride’s ancestral ranch outside of Brownsville, Texas—a property held by her family for generations—this 400-person fall wedding was an extraordinary blend of legacy, elegance, and celebration. The bride envisioned a design that felt both timeless and seasonal, while also honoring the groom’s Mexican heritage. Ceremony took place in town, followed by an open-air cocktail hour layered with leathers, wood, and soft fall tones. We incorporated pressed tin heart escort cards as a nod to Mexican tradition—one of many subtle, meaningful touches woven throughout.

Dinner unfolded beneath a tent with varied table shapes, velvet linens in sage and dusty blue, and florals in blush, taupe, and green, evolving into richer tones of burgundy and plum as the evening deepened. The menu reflected their shared roots: elevated Texas-inspired fare paired with traditional Mexican wedding cookies. At the center of the reception, a dramatic floral and branch installation framed the dance floor—turning the night into an immersive celebration of family, history, and joy.
