What began as a search for the right Texas venue evolved into something far more meaningful: a Sea Island celebration on the very property where the bride’s family had vacationed for years. With a background in modern art and an exceptional eye, the bride envisioned the entire experience as a large-scale creative collaboration. The venue’s historic Southern architecture provided the perfect counterpoint to her desire for a celebration that felt avant-garde, intentional, and completely distinct from the Sea Island norm.
We leaned into contrast—balancing mirrored tables and sculptural furniture against antique chandeliers and hand-carved ceilings. The garden ceremony was rerouted at the last minute due to rain, but the spontaneous shift made the moment all the more grounded and magical. From a cocktail hour featuring serpentine lounges and a life-size horse lamp, to a reception awash in black, white, deep plum, and mirrored glow, every design choice was a curated reflection of art, contrast, and emotional clarity. “You helped me realize we needed to respond to the architecture, not disguise it,” the bride said. “It was perfect.”
