Shelter Co Comes to Austin TX // The Nouveau Romantics; Photo by The NicholsWe have to let you in on the most amazing secret: Shelter Co – the gorgeous [glamping to get alliteral] company from California – is “setting up camp” with an Austin + Texas outpost! As we find ourselves doing more and more weddings and events on ranches and private properties, we’re often faced with the dilemma of accommodations for the bridal party and guests. This news couldn’t be more perfectly timed!

While it takes a certain sense of adventure, these tents definitely beat a sleeping bag and air mattress. Outfitted with a double bed [or two], linens, and informal seating, the entire group is also attended to by a “butler” who ensures that all the guests and their belongings are safe and comfortable, keeps the fire going, and making sure the cooler of beer and other beverages never goes empty. Beyond tents, they also offer dining areas, informal seating, libraries, even washrooms, showers and probably anything else you might think of needing! In short: everything you could want for a full-service glamping experience.

We worked with Shelter Co for Heather and Tibaut’s wedding [the above three images are from their wedding], and their enthusiasm and professionalism was duly noted, from the start of our conversations down to the butler and crew packing everything up. We’re excited to work with them on many more events in the future.

Welcome to town Shelter Co – our Texas clients are going to love you!

Honestly, there is little better than designing to the historically marvelous and detailed interiors at The Perry Belmont House in DC, and our late fall dinner party-turned-boudoir-inspired revelry did not disappoint. As big art patrons and collectors, J&S came to us looking for guidance on where their wedding celebration ought to take place. Considering spots […]

When we received word that the mother of the groom was set on using The Adolphus Hotel in Dallas as the scene for the welcome dinner for guests of C & C’s late January wedding, we were beyond excited. We’ve been huge fans of the elegant, light-filled 19th Floor Ballroom (also known as The Governor’s […]

While your venue may or may not be the same for both your ceremony and reception, there are practical considerations such as inclusions (rentals, etc) or […]
