Bohemian Black-Tie Ranch Wedding // Part I

Bohemian Black-Tie Ranch Wedding // by The Nouveau Romantics

At long last, here is Heather and Tibaut’s ranch wedding as seen in the Spring 2014 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, and on Green Wedding Shoes. An amazing family, a gorgeous location, and a talented vendor team made this a wedding for the books. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page to catch Shark Pig‘s video – it couldn’t be more perfect for H+T!

Astrological Wedding Save the Date // by The Nouveau Romantics

Despite overlapping in Austin, Texas due to mutual friends, Tibaut Bowman (one half of Autobody) and Heather Winn (a textile designer) didn’t connect until a rooftop party at the groom’s sister’s apartment in NYC years later. Their first date became the last concert of LCD Soundsystem in April of that same year, which is quite apropos for this music-loving and creative pair. Upon their engagement, it was Texas that these Brooklynites returned to when planning their wedding for April 2013. Set on the bride’s family ranch atop rolling hills in Dripping Springs, Texas, the couple set out to host a “bohemian black-tie” wedding filled with personal touches amidst family and friends.

Using Texas wildflowers as a starting point of their inspiration, a palette of muted pinks, lavenders, ochre, and peach complimented a base of black, white, wood tones, with touches of gold. Guests were welcomed into the property and ushered into the ceremony spot overlooking the rolling hills beyond. The bride walked down the aisle in a dress of her own making, along an aisle filled with wildflowers. Married by their good friend under a free-form arch created by 1500 stems of blooming cherry and pear branches—it was a setting that simultaneously complimented their natural surroundings as well as creating an intimate experience for themselves and their guests.

Honestly, there is little better than designing to the historically marvelous and detailed interiors at The Perry Belmont House in DC, and our late fall dinner party-turned-boudoir-inspired revelry did not disappoint. As big art patrons and collectors, J&S came to us looking for guidance on where their wedding celebration ought to take place. Considering spots […]

When we received word that the mother of the groom was set on using The Adolphus Hotel in Dallas as the scene for the welcome dinner for guests of C & C’s late January wedding, we were beyond excited. We’ve been huge fans of the elegant, light-filled 19th Floor Ballroom (also known as The Governor’s […]

While your venue may or may not be the same for both your ceremony and reception, there are practical considerations such as inclusions (rentals, etc) or […]
