Spring Lavender Hill Country Texas Wedding

Spring Hill Country Wedding // Florals, Design & Paper Goods by The Nouveau Romantics // Austin Wedding Planning and Event Design Studio

Christen and Charlie are one of the most delightfully lovely couples [the kind that we want to call up and meet at their favorite Italian joint whenever we’re in Dallas] and their spring Texas wedding in the Hill Country outside of San Antonio was one the highlights of our season.

Their 50 guests joined them in an intimate ceremony in a grassy clearing on her uncle’s property, moving upwards towards the pool for cocktails, dinner, and dancing. With such a small guest count, we were able to invest in things that matter most to them: amazing food, beautiful springtime flowers, little paper details like letterpressed menus, and cocktail coasters, as well as the best favors – small Tito’s vodka for the road.

We end up involved with a lot of smaller weddings [under 100 people, usually around 50] and this one reminded me why we love being a part of them: there’s an intimate simplicity that is really sweet, getting to know the couple and most of their guests by the end of the weekend. No to mention that we usually get to have a little fun on the personal details! [Their wedding invitations were these classic letterpress bundles wrapped in lavender linen.]

If you’re curious, their springtime inspiration board is here, their invitations and paper goods were blogged about here, and they were featured on Snippet and Ink as well.

Honestly, there is little better than designing to the historically marvelous and detailed interiors at The Perry Belmont House in DC, and our late fall dinner party-turned-boudoir-inspired revelry did not disappoint. As big art patrons and collectors, J&S came to us looking for guidance on where their wedding celebration ought to take place. Considering spots […]

When we received word that the mother of the groom was set on using The Adolphus Hotel in Dallas as the scene for the welcome dinner for guests of C & C’s late January wedding, we were beyond excited. We’ve been huge fans of the elegant, light-filled 19th Floor Ballroom (also known as The Governor’s […]

As one of the first and often most important decisions, your venue sets the tone for both your wedding as well as your to-do list for your planning journey. While your venue may or may not be the same for both your ceremony and reception, there are practical considerations such as inclusions (rentals, etc) or […]
