A Laid-Back Backyard Wedding

Finally! Oncewed featured Natalie and Josh’s backyard wedding, set amongst the rather lush setting of central Pennsylvania–we were dodging flooding and hurricanes right up until their ceremony started. Magic arrived, when the sun broke through as their ceremony began, and kept the skies clear until their reception ended later that night.

Remember this inspiration board? Well, here’s the real deal!

Proud Brooklynites Natalie and Josh made sure to include subtle nods to their neighborhood throughout their central Pennsylvania wedding—from her Leanne Marshall gown (!), his bespoke suit, to Mast Brother’s chocolates as favors. Set in Josh’s mother’s backyard, the couple chose an intimate 48-person wedding that emphasized a fun, festive atmosphere with their closest friends and family.

Vibrant tones of greens, white, black, and natural linen directed the ceremony and cocktail hour, with additions of peach and coral throughout the reception. Seasonal flowers and mercury glasses lined the single long table, and provided a warm and intimate ambiance for the plated dinner and dancing.
