Jewel Tones at the Wildflower Center

It’s coming up quickly, but I figured I should post this before it’s already passed! Next Friday we’re due for a group collaboration down at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center here in Austin for a jewel-hued affair that is both a mix of neutrals and dramatic spots of color. The couple are Arizona-transplants and there was a certain kind of palette that followed them from their home state [something I realized a little after the fact] — especially reflected in the inspiration painting found on the board below.

My favorites, The Nichols are going to be shooting the affair, with Merveille on board for the flowers, Aimee Villa from Lizze Belle Event Planning holding down the planning fort, and some fall-inspired goodness from Sugar Mama’s to end off the night on a sweet note.

Honestly, there is little better than designing to the historically marvelous and detailed interiors at The Perry Belmont House in DC, and our late fall dinner party-turned-boudoir-inspired revelry did not disappoint. As big art patrons and collectors, J&S came to us looking for guidance on where their wedding celebration ought to take place. Considering spots […]

When we received word that the mother of the groom was set on using The Adolphus Hotel in Dallas as the scene for the welcome dinner for guests of C & C’s late January wedding, we were beyond excited. We’ve been huge fans of the elegant, light-filled 19th Floor Ballroom (also known as The Governor’s […]

As one of the first and often most important decisions, your venue sets the tone for both your wedding as well as your to-do list for your planning journey. While your venue may or may not be the same for both your ceremony and reception, there are practical considerations such as inclusions (rentals, etc) or […]
