Vendor Friends | Belathée Photography

Today we’re shining the spotlight on some of our favorite ladies, Dorothée and Annabel, that together make up Belathée Photography. I’d met them in New York in 2011 when researching photographers for a Pennsylvania wedding, and have been looking for a way to bring them to Texas for some time. Their ability to blend a photojournalistic style with elements of the traditional wedding photography is effortless and truly natural. They pride themselves on being incognito and “barely there” during the wedding day, and doing whatever it takes to get the shot. Their style of portraiture is so elegant, yet timeless, and their work will definitely stand the test of time.

We were really excited to work with Dorothée back in April for Christen and Charlie’s San Antonio wedding [ featured on Snippet and Ink!] and we couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out.

Dorothée also captured some behind-the-scenes shots in the Nouveau Romantics studio the day before the wedding. Even though the studio was a bit chaotic, you’d never know from looking at Dorothée’s beautiful, airy photos.

Honestly, there is little better than designing to the historically marvelous and detailed interiors at The Perry Belmont House in DC, and our late fall dinner party-turned-boudoir-inspired revelry did not disappoint. As big art patrons and collectors, J&S came to us looking for guidance on where their wedding celebration ought to take place. Considering spots […]

When we received word that the mother of the groom was set on using The Adolphus Hotel in Dallas as the scene for the welcome dinner for guests of C & C’s late January wedding, we were beyond excited. We’ve been huge fans of the elegant, light-filled 19th Floor Ballroom (also known as The Governor’s […]

As one of the first and often most important decisions, your venue sets the tone for both your wedding as well as your to-do list for your planning journey. While your venue may or may not be the same for both your ceremony and reception, there are practical considerations such as inclusions (rentals, etc) or […]
