We recently had a sweet brunch wedding at our perennial favourite — the Hotel Saint Cecilia — for an easy-going, low-key couple. These are the kinds of opportunities we hope for: ones that the client trust our judgement, give us free reign [within certain parameters] and let us loose! I usually ask the bride to describe their style by asking what stores or furniture styles they would pick for their homes [it always does the trick!]. This wedding was fun as it had a bit of a masculine, rugged, yet romantic aspect: they loved Ralph Lauren, Restoration Hardware, and the color palette she came up with was navy blue, forest green, worn leathers, but with some classic white.
Which we did, using all of the early spring and late winter floral bounty! Brides take note: this is an amazing time of the year to get married. Didn’t hurt that it was 70F+ on the day-of, all brilliant sunshine. The upside to living in Texas, I suppose.
Notes: I have a new ribbon obsession. A peacock blue wall with indirect lighting on either side makes for the most magnificent photographs. Late winter / early spring flowers really are the best. Right?
