I’m busy narrowing down some details about an upcoming photo shoot, yet I’m always on the look out for color inspiration. This post on Apartment Therapy from Maison and Objet 2011 trade show featured a couple of ideas I’m always smitten with.

Monochromatic vessels from Dean Flowers [worth investing in later on?]

Brush swipes (I have a standing love of watercolor / paint swashes) on tableware from Richard Ginori:

Funny enough, this goes against my usual inclination towards simple, classic [and eternally adaptable] vessels and mixing in all kinds of color and texture. Could be a fun little experiment one day to reign it all in and try my hand at a little restraint. We’ll see … I usually get into the flower shop and start grabbing everything. Small child, I am.
