You know you want a destination wedding. You just don't know where yet and every option feels like a $200,000 guess.
Expert, unbiased destination wedding guidance—before you commit to a venue, a planner, or a country.

That's exactly the moment this service was built for.
You've been saving venues on Instagram not-so-secretly for six months. You have a folder with 60 screenshots and a Pinterest board that keeps growing. You've talked to a planner or two who pushed you toward venues you'd never heard of ... and something felt a little off about that.
You're trying to choose between two or three destinations you genuinely love, and you don't know how to compare them fairly. You don't know if the venue that looks perfect online can actually hold your guest count at dinner. You don't know what a room block is, what's realistic or how to negotiate one. You don't know which questions you don't know to ask yet.
And you're not ready to hire a full local planning team. You're not even sure which country to hire them in.
I don't accept referral fees or commissions from venues—ever. My recommendations are driven entirely by what's right for your wedding, your guests, and your vision. Full stop.
The one exception: when I negotiate hotel room blocks on your behalf, I earn a standard industry commission from the hotel, as all travel professionals do. This is always disclosed upfront, and it has zero effect on which hotels I recommend. What it means for you: you get an expert handling one of the most logistically complex parts of destination planning at no out-of-pocket cost.
I've been doing this for 15 years—the last decade exclusively in destination weddings. I built this service because I kept watching couples make expensive, avoidable decisions about where to get married before anyone had given them honest, unbiased information. This is that information, delivered before it's too late to use it.

If you're not sure which category you're in, book a info call. Twenty minutes is usually enough to figure it out.
The average couple spends 60-80 hours researching destinations and venues. At $2,500, The Overview costs roughly $31/hour for expert guidance that prevents a single $40,000 venue mistake.
Most couples who skip this step either:
(a) choose the wrong destination and regret it, or
(b) spend twice as long second-guessing themselves before hiring a planner anyway.

Room block negotiation and management is available as part of Option 02. I earn a standard industry commission from the hotel—there's no additional out-of-pocket cost to you. This is disclosed at the start, handled completely on your behalf, and takes one of the most logistically painful parts of destination wedding planning entirely off your plate. Ask about this on your info call.

We spend 20 minutes making sure this is the right fit. You tell me where you are in the process, what's pulling you toward certain destinations, what's keeping you up at night. If it's a fit, we decide on a tier and you receive your agreement and intake form.
02
Once you're signed on, we go deeper. This is a dedicated call to get into your priorities, your vision, your guest count reality, your must-haves and deal-breakers. The more I understand before I start, the better the work.
03
Depending on your tier, I spend 3-8 weeks researching, analyzing, and in some cases directly contacting venues and hotels on your behalf. You answer my questions as they come up. That's it.

The Overview: we meet for a final debrief, walk through your custom scouting report, and you leave knowing what your options are and which direction makes sense. The Full Brief: after the initial report, we identify the top contenders and I go back for confirmed pricing, availability, and logistics before your final debrief.
Start with the blog. I write honestly about destination wedding venues, logistics, and what you need to look for before booking anything. No fluff, no unhelpful generic roundups. It's a good place to get oriented.

We spend an average of 500+ hours on every full-service wedding we take on.
That time isn’t about busywork, it’s about stewardship. Of your vision, your budget, your time, and the experience your guests will actually have.
We’re not just planners. We’re designers, strategists, and project managers. When you hire us, you’re hiring a team that is actively managing logistics, aligning vendors, navigating personalities, and anticipating challenges long before they ever reach you. Behind the scenes, we’re monitoring timelines, revising plans, problem-solving in real time, and sending hundreds of emails you’ll never have to read.
We care deeply about our clients—and our vendor partners. The best weddings are built by teams who trust one another and enjoy the process as much as the outcome.
This work is layered, demanding, and deeply intentional—and we take it seriously. Because of this, we take on a very limited number of full-service weddings each year and typically begin booking 12–14 months in advance.
The service works for one, two, or three destinations. The comparative analysis is an option, however clarity is the point. If you know you want Mexico City but need someone to tell you the honest venue reality, guest logistics, and what you're actually signing up for, that's exactly what this does.
Probably yes. Knowing you love Portugal doesn't mean you know which region, which venue, which season, or what the guest logistics actually look like on the ground. Most couples arrive with a strong intuition about a place and walk away with a very different picture of whether their vision is executable there. The clarity comes from the specifics, not the general.
A local planner executes your wedding in one place. This service helps you decide which place—before you hire anyone. It also helps you figure out how to vet and choose the right local planner once you're ready.
Ask. I'll tell you what I know. If I don't know it well enough to give you honest insight, I'll tell you that too. The last thing I'd do is guess about your wedding.
Sometimes. If you want full planning support through The Nouveau Romantics after we wrap, we can have that conversation. But this service has no obligation attached. It stands entirely on its own.
Transparently. It's disclosed at the start of our engagement, it comes from the hotel and not from you, and it has no influence on which hotels I recommend. It's the same model all travel professionals use—I just tell you about it upfront.
That's actually the best time to do this. The most expensive mistakes in destination weddings happen before anyone has asked the right questions. If you're early, start with a Field Guide. Your purchase price applies toward the service when you're ready.
