For this couple—deeply connected to the art world—the venue needed to speak to both aesthetic pedigree and personal resonance. We explored everything from avant-garde parking garages to storied European landmarks, but ultimately landed on the Perry Belmont House in Washington, D.C.—a jewel of European architecture with interiors that felt as opulent as a Parisian salon. With just two and a half months to plan, we created an intimate fall celebration for 50 of their closest friends: elegant, refined, and rooted in old-world charm.
Creams, blushes, and deep plums softened the grandeur of the historic interiors, but the true twist came late in the process: an homage to Annabel’s of London. What was meant to be a low-key after-dinner lounge became a moody, red-on-red surprise—revealed only once dinner was underway. Every detail was saturated in crimson—from florals to lighting to velvet lounges—and the transformation sparked a full-on dance party no one expected. A study in contrast: restrained elegance turned unabashed revelry.
