An At-Home Winter Wedding All About Family in Dallas, Texas

Planned in just three months, this 500-guest January celebration in Dallas was a masterwork of layered meaning, artistic detail, and familial legacy. The bride wore her mother’s Oscar de la Renta gown and exchanged vows in the same church her parents had married in 39 years prior. But what followed was anything but traditional. Guests arrived at her family’s home to find a tented reception that felt like a natural extension of the house—textiles from her mother’s collection, candelabras from her aunt’s studio, and personal artifacts woven into every corner.

We anchored the design in earthy neutrals, layered with crimson, ochre, burnt orange, and lush greens. Florals stole the show—cascading over long tables and framing a room aglow with candlelight and character. A 22-piece mariachi band serenaded their first dance, honoring the bride’s Mexican heritage, and tequila flowed as guests danced late into the night. “I don’t think I’ve ever smiled so big,” she said. It was soul-rich, artful, and entirely unforgettable.
