With The Nouveau Romantics on board for planning and design, the couple spent eight months executing their May wedding. Originally thinking of Mexico, California, and Jackson, WY as possible locations, we suggested New Orleans as the perfect blending of color, culture, music, and food.
Their vision? A whimsical, magical, and surprisingly casual Indian wedding in the heart of the French Quarter. “We wanted it to be playful,” says Saba. “We wanted everyone to be struck with wonder and to really experience the day with us.” Opting for strolling reception instead of formal seating, there was an unexpected synergy between Indian tradition and New Orleans’s eclectic vibe. “It was a wedding we couldn’t have had in any other city,” the bride says.
