The Nouveau Romantics is led by Elizabeth Lewis, an architecturally-trained historian and graphic designer. With a life-long desire to “make”, she realized that her talents were a perfect fit for crafting paper, flowers, and decor into intimate and thoughtful events. It is Elizabeth’s diverse background which allows her to conceptualize and develop the big picture down to the smallest of detail.

Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, with stints in Montreal and New York, she finds her new hometown of Austin to be the perfect mix of delicious food, vibrant creative community, and friendly small-town personality. When not combing backcountry flea markets for her latest design or floral project, she can be found testing out the local swimming holes, chasing her oversized hound Gus, or enjoying a St. Germain cocktail on an outdoor patio in town.

Her twice monthly column Fashioned Florals on Oh Joy! features floral stylings taking inspiration from art, fashion, food, and interiors.
